Hi, thanks for dropping by. Thanks to my colleagues & the progress in digital photography, I started to explore photography since Oct 2002. Starting with a second-hand consumer camera to explore with the features. On the eve of National Day 2003, I upgraded to a SLR-like Minolta D7i to prepare for the eventual upgrade to DSLR (which cost about 3K back then). And, it was the same day which I first engaged in butterfly photography in Alexandra Hospital. Soon, Mr Khew SK mentored us in butterfly identification and we soon joined 8utterflyP41s. This website documents my field trips (well, need a place to track, right?). The better shots are uploaded to my fotofile album. 2004 First trekking trip with BOAC to Mt Kinabalu (and the D70 was on its first oversea trip). While was planning for a trip to Tibet in late 2004, it does not materialise. Instead, headed to HongKong for a short trip during the winter. Thanks to the reception of HKLS, manage to visit a butterfly roosting site in Deep Water Bay. 2005 Finally managed to visit a remote part of China (in the region goes by the older name of Kham tibet) in September. Visited Yading (4200m ASL) but unfortunately "crashed" into the Golden Week crowd. Made a few short trips to Taiwan & China to meet up with friends, R&R and butterfly "hunting". ButterflyPals have splitted and the surviving non-NSS members have grouped under the new name of ButterflyCircle (http://www.b-pals.com) 2006 The DiM4GE 7i was finally liquidated to fund for the replacement camera. The dream of visiting Tibet was fulfilled in August with a rather uneventful hike in Ch0m0langma BC (5200m ASL). D200 was recruited for the T1bet trip, but have to discharge it due to its weight. Maybe will reconsider a D80 or a 2nd hand D200 at a later date. After returning from the trip, my world changed (for the better, of coz). Treked in SyueShan of Taiwan (3886m ASL) in December. 2007 My D70 is now a "senior citizen" showing signs of problem. Finally, Shangrila Adventure has fulfilled my 3-year-old target of visiting both GangRinpoche (5600m ASL) & Guge Kingdom.
